Faire du Shopping

Day 7- (le 6 juillet) LET'S SHOP
Apparently, on July 5th the temperature got up to 40 degrees Celsius!

So on July 6, we went to le mascaret (which is a tidal bore). It was pretty cool, its basically when a wave travels up river against the rivers current up a narrow river or bay.

I have a video of this (but its not very good). I'll also attach a youtube video of what the tidal bore looks like in Moncton. Le Mascaret (start at around 2:00 if you're pressed for time)

market

After we watched le mascaret we went to the Farmers market, there was some pretty cool stuff there as well, but it was very similar to the farmer markets back home. I'll attach a short clip as well as some pictures. There was also a cow advertisement there to do with drinking milk. I got to milk the cow!
Although the cow wasn't real it was definitely fun!
its a cow!

After the farmers market, we walked to Champlain place which is a mall in the area. It is a bit bigger than Richmond centre and has a lot more stores geared towards teenagers and young adults. I quite like it, we also liked it because of the air conditioning. The mall also has a grocery store and walmart so that added to the pros of the mall. At the mall I bought this:
reward for walking an hour
And also a mini fan!!!! :)

its the size of my face!

Look at the river bank! The water is completely brown and the river banks are all mud! Its pretty cool!

After going to the mall we ventured back home for dinner.
After dinner since it was so hot inside, we decided to go outside to sit in the shade, these are the beautiful pictures that came out of that evening.

Now its time for another installment of MAN VS MICROWAVE

-------------

MAN VS MICROWAVE
For breakfast:
You can never go wrong with Timmy's
For Lunch

Teriyaki Chicken
 For Dinner:
The same old, wrap with cheese, pepperoni, vegetables and Caesar salad dressing with chips and chicken noodle soup.
Do you see all the condensation on this bottle of milk tea? The condensation   happens so quickly, and these big fat water droplets fall off from the bottle. It is really a pain when I'm trying to do work.

Day 8- (le 7 juillet) Make it rain and Shop till you drop

Today, we didn't do much, we discovered the basement of our residence, where it is cool and fresh so we did our project down their in the morning. At 12 o'clock we ventured down town and had lunch at a place called Pink Sushi, ironically, I ordered korean food at the japanese restaurant but it was even better than the japanese food they served.
miso soup and salad YUM!

Dolsot Bibimbap

It comes with a spicy sauce, it was sooooo good, just looking at it makes my mouth water!
After lunch we trekked to the mall again, where again, we found ourselves in walmart.
Did you know that there are such things called Reese bars? I didn't know that!
After spending a whole day at the mall we made the long walk back to the school, it took us about an hour to walk back in the heat. But without fail we saw many things that lifted out spirits. (*not really*)

this is sad....

Roses are red, violets are blue, your government is laughing at you....

Along the way we wanted to stop at Tim Horton's but we found out that on Sunday's Tim Horton's closes at 4 pm!

Oh! Forgot to mention, on our way to the shopping mall, it began to rain, it rained so hard it almost soaked through our shirts, and none of us remembered to bring an umbrella.... After the rain the air was fresh and cool for about 5 minutes before it became hot and humid again! When we entered the mall, we heard that there was thunder and lightning outside but when we left the mall to walk back it was so hot and the ground was dry, you could not even tell that it had just rained!

MAN VS MICROWAVE

Today I decided to spice things up since it is the weekend,
I had shepherd's pie, ruffles all dressed chips, cucumbers and a cup of peach yogurt :)
It was a good change from my usual wraps :)
